I clip my phone to the sunvisor. This way, It isn't moving around in the cupholder, and I can see the lights flashing when it rings, and pull over to answer it.

At the LA auto show, Nitto tires handed me a miniture mouse pad thingy. It's an odd kind of foam, about 1/8" thick X 1-1/2" X 4" or so. It adhears to just about any surface like a wacky wall walker, yet comes right off with no residue. You lay it anywhere, then lay your phone on top of it, like magic it stays put even under some spirited driving habits.

The best part about it, well besides being free, is it's not intrusive and not noticable like many cell phone holders. I had it along the edge of my center console but then put it under the parking brake handel. Not easy to get to under the brake handle but it's even more descreet and I don't generally use my phone while driving.

I leave mine in my pocket. I have the bluetooth kit from ford. So I just click on the pad, and tell it what to do. Best and safest way in my opinion. Good luck.

P.S. Everyone that sees me doing it says awesome. So it is a eye catcher/ear catcher. LOL

When i go someplace in the car/truck, i usually bring a small duffle bag with me or just a hat. Inside you'll find the phone, wallet, sunglasses, and any other loose crap. I hate having things on my person or loose about the cabin of the vehicle. If i'm solo, i'll place said bag or hat on passenger floor, if not, behind drivers seat. I tend to travel light.

I have a huge PDA phone, and didnt like any of the available options. So, its just mounted between my vents, and velcro'd. Pop in my ear piece and I am good to go. one of these days I am going to get a bluetooth set up so I dont have to touch my phone at all... one of these days...

My cup holders seem to fill with stuff. Everything I own fits in them - even the kitchen sink every now and then. My wife is nearly always with me. That doubles the pssibilities of stuff. We both have badges from work with lanyards and pens attatched, sometimes my house keys go in there (detatchable from my car keys to keep the weight off of the ignition), and of course a phone or 2. Our phones take up the entire holder though. Fortunately, I use the holders, and my wife uses her purse most often. Funny thing is... what do I do when I need a drink? It's a mad scramble to toss stuff into the console or set it on the floor out of the way.

I clip mine to the visor, or put it in the cupholder. I have to admit, when I am in the car, I never hear it ring. Darn missed another call from the NOC.

Right now, I place my cell phone on the cupholder, but I'm thinking about sticking a RadioShack cell phone dashboard mount between the two air vents on the center.

I use this. AWESOME!!

Soft Foam ORganizer for cell phone, pen, garage opener, etc. . Molded and tapered compartments grab and hold small objects . There is a hole in the base which allows you to plug in most cell phone chargers while your phone sits securely in the cup.

cool where did you get that, Rene'?

I just leave mine clipped to my belt so I can feel it vibrate when it rings. I usually have the radio turned up loud, so I can't hear it ring most of the time.

I keep mine in my pocket. A blue tooth earpiece with voice dial works miracles. One button press to answer or activate voice dial. No cords to get in the way of manual shifting. I saw Pep Boys had a small square rubber pad that sits on the dashboard. It is supposed to stop cell phones, etc. from sliding around.
