Does anyone have any suggestions for cell phone placement in their mustang. I just have mine on the other front seat, as I drive mostly solo. Any good gadgets to use? I saw a belkin cup / phone holder when surfing that looked promising - - but the picture was not explicit.

I don't bring mine with me when I'm in the stang - don't want anyone bothering me while I'm out driving around.

The Mustang accessories catalog shows a Bluetooth cell phone setup that integrates with the stock stereo.

Does anyone have this option, or does anyone know how much such an option would cost?

I find talking on cellphones in general to be a pita when driving manual, especially if you don't have a speakerphone option or use the Nextel DC walkie talkies.

Check out http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/vsm.html
for a line of mounting devices. I have used them in my F-150 and Freestyle but not the Mustang.

Mine fits on a plastic belt clip, and I simply clip it to the driver's side sun visor. If the tunes aren't played too loud on the stereo, I can easily here the ringer, and if I can't hear it, at least I see the caller id window flashing with my peripheral vision.

Cupholder with an earpiece. It's like they designed the car around the perfect place for my phone, it's brilliant.

Thanks, Pro-fit has an interesting looking general device. It is attached by adhesive, and looks promising. The adhesive is removable. Question is whether it will fit .....I think the best place is flush on the passenger side of the console.

The device does not look too intrusive, and the mount part would not be visible from the driver....and it may be ok for the passenger, as well.

They do not have a specific mounting device for the 2005; and their brackets typically seem to be a piece of metal lodged in between seems in the dash. They look pretty solid, but not flexibile. This general mount may be a good solution.

I'm with Biz most of the time. If I do HAVE to bring it, I leave it in my pocket or put it in the cup holder (since there's never anything in there anyway)

I use this. AWESOME!!

Soft Foam ORganizer for cell phone, pen, garage opener, etc. . Molded and tapered compartments grab and hold small objects . There is a hole in the base which allows you to plug in most cell phone chargers while your phone sits securely in the cup.

I could not see my old phone while in the cupholder, and it was hard to deal with if needed to. I have a bluetooth phone, which is real nice. I don't think this new phone fits in the cupholder.

Nevertheless, it is still useful to be able to see if I am still connected....as in "can you hear me, I can't see you"

As an aside, I wrote MGW about 17 years ago (comment, about how slow they are to do what they say they are doing), about their doing something with the cupholder. I use the cupholder for misc stuff (like garage pass for work, pen, leatherman like tool, and use it for receipts)..... and would like a divider so stuff does not float into the back cupholder. I know you don't get a mustang for the storage space.

I also asked MGW about something for inside the console, to better help organize, but be flexible for different tastes.

I don't think they are coming up with anything for either.... just a chrome bezel for the cupholder.
