Are their any leather wrapped shift ***** that fit the new mustang? The plastic one feels...well like plastic.

 

Brian - I looked at this issue pretty hard. I have a new 07.

I have done not the install yet, but here is my approach.

I purchased a leather Momo ****. There are plenty out there that are very nice, but unfortunately like mine, they are all 15M universal mounts.

In my case, I was / am going to have an aluminum adapter made. It will look like the one in the attached link where I got the idea:

The adapter will be threaded on the stock Ford stick (12M) with the aftermarket **** placed ontop of the adapter and held in with 3 set screws.

A couple of the guys on this board have pointed me in the direction of others who are willing to make the adapter for me to fit the Ford stock stick, at a reasonable price.

Hope this helps. I am a stickler for quality and I am convinced that this setup will work well. Let me know if you want a referral to someone who is willing to make the adapter. I have not yet had mine done however.
