Leather Shift Knob
Leather Shift ****
I've got the IUP Metallic Shift **** right now. But this summer, I've nearly burned my hand a couple of times after the thing got hot in the sun or even from just the heat inside the car. I want to switch it to something that has a clean look but is not going to absorb heat so easily.
Has any found a leather shift **** or other material to go with an Satin IUP interior with black leather?

If you go to the MGW site at www.mgwltd.com they have ***** made of composite material that are not affected by heat or cold in both a 5 speed format or a GT format that will work . I have had mine for over a year.
Grabberpony.com can make you a shift-**** in whatever color and design you'd like, but it'll be a 'pool ball' style **** (so I don't think they can do leather). Great price and service at grabberpony.com

The IUP interior comes with a Leather **** ... you must be talking about the Premier Trim package with the Billitt Aluminum ****. Here's the standard IUP shift **** ..

I did put on the Billitt one recently and it does get VERY hot ...

UPR makes a composite shift **** too. Goes great with the IUP and I've never burned my hand on it.

It definitely doesn't match the satin IUP color, but I really like my white Roush cue-ball style shift ****. It's always cool to the touch, and has a great look to it. The aforementioned Grabberpony.com ***** would the be pretty much the same I would assume. Can't go wrong with either.
The leather Saleen Extreme **** matches the interior. But the top of the **** gets hot because it's exposed billet. I have one that I use but I also use a MGW gripper and a Grabberpony ****. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m32

Put a sock on it when you park it!
The Premiere trim billet shifter looks like a phallus. Putting a sock on it just sends out more innuendo!

FWIW, I have the cheap non-IUP base shift ****. It is wrapped in black rubber, the shift pattern is black with silver text overlay and a clear plastic cover. It looks exactly like the IUP shifter, but does not have any silver coloring other than the text for the pattern. The silver-painted "ring" on the IUP shifter is black on the base shifter.
I park it frequently in the sun and it does not get hot enough to burn my hand, but everything does get quite hot in the summer. I often wondered about having so much alloy in the interior. I remember my 81 T-bird with its OEM alloy everything and how I would get 3rd degree blisters on my hands, legs, and arms during the summer. Thank the Ford engineers that chose to "cheap out" the car with black plastic/rubber/polymer.

wow... if it weren't for the rest of the IUP stuff I gots, i'd figure out a way to put that black top on the IUP shifter. I like it awesome.
/now thinkin'...: What else'd be good in black instead of silver inside...?
//Door handles... Yeah, I think they need to be black now. Yep, that's the ticket.

I'm also looking for other **** options. I just bought a MGW Gripper and I'm not digging it so far. Very nice quality but too big and it raises the height of the **** when installed.
