well i know on my truck i had 1% over factory tint and let me tell you it was dark dark dark dark dark dark dark lol when i made turns at night i had to lean up and look through the windshield to see beside me hahaha but i would say go with about a 10% and it will be dark from the outside for sure and still allow you to see through it from the inside, hope that helps ya out

the lower the percentage the less light that is allowed to pass. So yes the smaller the number the darker the tint.

You can get an idea of whats out there here .... http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=11712

NY law is 70% WOW thats high lol in houston its 20% on the front 2 windows and no limit on the rest, most of your factory tint now days is around 35 which is the legal limit in most states but i think you will be ok with 20% that should look nice on black

if you do alot of night driving I would suggest a higher percentage. anything under 30% and you will have to roll down your windows to read street signs.

An easy way to remember is that the percentage is how much light the tint allows through it. So the lower the percentage the darker the tint.

I have 15% in the rear... No problem at all seeing out at night. CA law limits the sides to 70%, but I did 50% anyway.

Don't be afraid of the dark!

I've got 5% on my rear and quarter windows, and 35% on the front windows.

Seeing out the rear isn't a problem at night, and it's nice that the fools who run with their highbeams on don't bother me

Having the rear windows that dark really cut's down the heat. It makes a huge difference. When you consider that I live in one of the hottest inhabibitable places in North America, It's important.

I did 30% all the way around. I like the same look all the way around and no probs seeing at night. BTW, the legal limit is 28% in Florida.

I've got 5% (limo) on the back 3 and 35% on the doors. During the day, sunny or overcast, it is no problem to see out. However, at night if there are no lights behind you, good luck seeing out the window cause you can't. Also if it is raining it is hard to see even out the side windows. At night when it is raining hard you can barely see out the side windows.
