iPhone 5 input jack for the Shaker 500 Stereo System

I recently bought a 2005 mustang with no modifications and was wanting to get an input jack for my iPhone 5 to the Shaker 500 system. I am wanting to be able to charge it and play it, I want it also to sound crystal clear just like it's supposed to. Any suggestions?

Best option is really to get a new radio. Especially if you are concerned with sound quality.

I just bought the AAI FRD-04... I hooked it up by splicing the + and - from the cigarette lighter because the directions state that it has to be hooked up to a 12V constant power source.

I didnt really pay attention to the condition of the wiring behind the dash, but noticed afterwards that the electrical tape was kinda gooey. I installed this about 2 days ago and wanted to keep the Shaker 500 cause I completed the LED switch and like the stock look (sound aint that bad either). I am kinda "watching things" to do what I can to make sure that nothing is melting. When I checked after letting the car run for a bit, the wires were not at all hot to the touch. I wouldnt even say they were warm. So I think that the deal is that the wires were prolly like that before I got the car.

If you want to keep the stock radio (hopefully your buttons are not all worn) I would try this. Although you would prolly want to confirm that the way I hooked into the power is correct or have a pro install it for you.

A side note: please dont use electrical tape, use shrink tubes instead. The are neater and dont leave that gooey mess behind while unraveling.

I bought this:
http://www.blitzsafe.com/catalog/ind...d&productId=39

It does show any song info on the shaker 500 itself, but it sounds great and keeps my phone charged.
