I was told yesterday that if I buy a Kenwood DDX7015 that I can buy an adaptor and that would allow me to use the factory amp and speakers.....true?

Also, How much more gooder is the Shaker 1000 than the 500? As I said, I am getting the Kenwood player, and I would definitely want major sound....is the 1000 alot louder, or is it pretty close? I am also a major fan of Bass.......would the 1000 provide me with alot more bass?

Thanks

Crutchfield told me I could replace my Shaker 500 with an aftermarket one and the subs and speakers would all still work.

had shaker1000. replaced with in dash pioneer dvd player. amps no workie which is fine because they are junk. head unit is powering four factory x by x's and using rockford fosgate to power two 10" subs in trunk. 8" subs in doors not hooked up at all and it sounds great!!!! hits hard too!!!

Is it just to replace without any extra wires/apaters or anything? How would you rate your new head unit with the stock shaker 500? Does the Shaker500 basically suck compared to aftermarket units...?

See my big audio upgrade in the audio upgrades section. I had the shaker 1000 and was happy with it but it did not do anything for me in car shows. I upgraded the head unit and the speaker and now the system is way to powerful. You can by adapter harnesses from crutchfield to allow you to use the factory amps and speakers.
