Question If I remove my seats, what about my tune

I am afraid of removing my front seats and having them put back in and having to go to the dealership to adjust the airbag sensor......and that would mess up my Bama Chip tune or is it something else or a different computer they mess with.

I have heard the horror story about folks going to the dealership and they accidently upgrade their tune with new data and then when you hook back up your xcal 2, it will not accept the new data coming from the computer and you are screwed.

Just flash your car back to stock before you take out your seats. . .

The airbag module is completely seperate from the pcm, it should not be necessary to flash back to stock for an airbag related concern. The only way you would have a problem is if the tech takes it upon themself to check for any pcm updates while working on the car. Actually, when you yank your seats out, you really should disconnect the battery so that the airbag system will power down. That will also prevent you from having to clear any airbag codes when done.

The radio is seperate as well, shouldn't be a problem, unless the tech decides to check for updates anyway.

I pull my drivers seat for every track event and install my race seat. I reinstall the stock seat after every event and my airbag system resets its self and the light turns off. You shouldn't have to go to the dealer to reset the system.

That is good to know, I want to get my seats reworked for inserts in the leather. I may just disconnect the battery just to be safe.

If you are just removing the seats and putting the same ones back in, it should not mess with the programming. Just simply disconnect the battery, wait a little bit and then remove them.
