Well, I FINALLY have my Idiot's guide ready to go for all of you that have PM/Emailed me, SO SORRY for the delay! I originally posted this in the allfordmustangs forum some weeks back.
This time I have built the whole thing up again from scratch and put it in web page format.
Hopefully now that it's on my web site it will be easier to use. I have larger pictures in the guide and each has a link to a larger picture.

Once again, this is the definitive IDIOT'S guide to getting your Shaker head out or installing the FRD04-AUX adaptor for Ipod's/MP3 Players in the 05-06 Mustangs. If you are already familiar with doing it, no need to look here!
I hope this is helpful for those of us who need it, as it's taken me a tremendous amount of hours getting it all going right - especially now that I had to rebuild it from scratch!

Here it is:
Idiots Guide to Ipod AUX adaptor

Even though I'm going completely aftermarket(HU, speakers, sub and amps), and I'm paying someone to install my stuff, this write-up is what makes this site great! I'm sure many folks will benefit from your detailed instructions. Almost makes me want to install my parts myself,-----------------NAH!!!!!

Why not? The more stuff I can do myself the more I can ultimately afford to buy.

Edit: After reading through that, you might want to add that you need the 1/8" to RCA Y-cable in there before you seal everything up.

Great work on the write-up. I'd like to hand it to the install guy but they might take offense to that.

Great install write up! So does this unit allow the Ipod to be navigated through the Shaker controls, or do you have to do everything from the iPod??

It's my understanding that you have to control everything through your ipod.

THanks for the encouragment!
Yes, there is no extra control through the Shaker. You use your Ipod to do everything.
Too bad!

I also bought the rca cable that charges the ipod. I installed it using the same power source as the pie, the 12v plug, and it does not work, do i need to get constant 12v from another source. Anyone know?

Just wanted to say thanks for the write-up. I'm proficient with car wiring, but having some of the info contained handy made the job go quicker.

I installed a PIE FRD-04, along with a Soundgate AUX3 switcher, so that I could easily flip the AUX input between the Ipod and my SkiFi2 unit. Everything works like a charm, and the sound improvement is awesome
