Anyone got an idea how I can remove the rest of the air bag sticker off my visor.
I started to pull on it and it was coming off pretty evenly then it just separated on me leaving the backing. I wisely used the hair dryer on the other one after that.
Any help would be muchly appreciated. thanks.

As for ironing at a weird angle, here's a tip: REMOVE the visors from the car, bring them inside the house, iron them flat. The iron and moist towel should work.

I imagine it's like those tags on pillows and beds: Once YOU have it, you can remove them. But Ford has to have them on the car to sell it.
Someone has to put them on the car after it's delivered...? C'mon, no way. Really? Dang, I'm puttin' that on the order too. No dealer stickers, and no interior ones either! Just gimme them in a bag, thanks. Neato!

I'm assuming the visor is vinyl, which either of the following solutions may work. I always have good luck with orange-glo or another citrus-based cleaner. Apply it and let it sit for a few minutes before trying to remove the adhesive. I also had the misfortune of driving through fresh tar a few years ago, (yeah, everyone had a good laugh, but I didn't see the humor at the time : )) and I ended up having the best luck with gasoline on a rag to get it off my wheels.
Again, if the visor is cloth, I would hesitate to use the options above because it might stain and look worse than when you started.

First hand experience here. Use a damp cloth and iron, it works *perfect*. I have the dark charcoal interior, so any residue showed up. I just removed the visor, took it inside, took a damp cloth set it on top of the sticker, ran a medium high iron over the top until it was quite hot, and the sticker came right off.
The residue it left behind I removed the same way, just kept heating it up with the iron and damp cloth, then wiping with the same cloth until there was absolutely zero residue. I would stay away from any chemical based solvents or removers, that visor will soak it up and stink, or it will damage the cloth around the visor.

I like that idea. How do I remove the visors ?
PS- For those who don't know... TorX screws look like the hex head (allen) ones except they are star shaped. Find them at the local hardware store.

try "goo gone" adhesive remover. test a small area first to make sure it doesn't stain the visor. IF it doesn't, that stuff works great at removing adhesive.

I have never used it on a visor, but, I have on clothing, shoes, carpet and a lot of other porous materials. None of them left a residue. But, if you think it is gonna stain, don't use it. The simple solution is leave them on the car.

Get a small TorX bit (I had one in a screwdriver kit), and remove the two screws on each visor hinge. Super simple- hardest part was figuring out it was a TorX screw when I was trying in the dark.

MarStang and NBAworm - thanks very much !!! The damp cloth and iron worked like a charm. Taking the visor out was a great idea, and was not hard after you pointed me to the screws. I'm so glad that I don't have that annoying sticker distracting me during driving. :drive:

Thanks for the tip.
Just did mine. Its the second mod, used the damp cloth and iron. Heated them for about 30 seconds and peeled them off. There was just a few bits of ahevise left to again heat into a rewet cloth.
You know they would not have to had been so big if it was not for the second language. If people can't read english, they should not be allowed to drive in the US. And what good is one additional language one alway? How long before they cover the hole sunvisior? Geees
