I gotta jump in. One of the comments made by Ford, I think by Tau, before the Mustang was available to the public was that it had the quality of a $30 car's interior in a sub-$20k car. I don't think anybody who own's one would agree. The interior shows the many cost cutting efforts, especially in the look and feel of the plastics and the cheap carpet. It is still a fine car, but just needs some additional refinement. I too am waiting to see what that aftermarket comes out with.
I just came across that quote again yesterday re the $30K interior. It may be a bargain in a $18.800 V6 coupe, but in a $27,300 GT it's not such a great "deal" LOL.

I still think it's fine though. Not "fine" as in perfectly refined, but "fine" as in OK as designed.

If you want a "cheap" looking and feeling interior, look no further than a Camaro or Firebird.
