how do you remove door sill and kick panels?

embarrassed to ask, but how do you remove the door sills? i figured that you just pull straight up, but i pulled up and there was a ripping sound and then i felt something break (the area where the "mustang" and lines are. what is that? double sided tape?

i was scared, so i just stuck the sill back on.

also, how do you remove the kick panels? i know the driver's side has that push pin.... then what? the passenger's side doesn't seem to have that pin.

any help would be appreciated. thanks. sorry, i just don't want to end up breaking anything.

Haven't done the passenger side, but as for the rest, here goes...

Tehe scuff plates are exactly as you thought. As you life from the carpet side, it will release. There is double sided tape under the Mustang plate. Pull easily and you can reuse it. As for the drivers side kick plate, after removing the pin in back, pull straight back, it will release.
