Thumbs up

I am going to install the felt on the inside of the door seal that runs on the window this weekend. I have the windows tinted and they are all scratched (being replaced for free by installer). I have removed a lot of interior door panels over the years, but I have never really cared too much about damaging anything.

On this car it is obviously a different story. I want to know if there are any hidden clips or screws that I should know about before starting. Also if there are any tricks I should know about. I could probably put the felt in without removing the panels, but I don't think it would be as good a job that way.

Please give me your advice!!!

I put on my felt in a couple of minutes without taking door panels off. Easy.

Yea, I did the same. It can be done without taking the door panel off. Just use a piece of skinny plastic to help pry the window away from the rubber strip to give yourself more working room.

I didn't have to remove the door panels completely, I just removed the top part and then removed the seal off the top of the door. It makes for a factory looking job. Thanks for the help.

How did you remove the top part, and what do you mean remove the seal, I thought you stick the felt to the seal that is already there???

I removed the seal from the door and applied the felt strip to it and then replaced the seal onto the door. Then the panel was replaced.

You have to undo the whole panel and to remove it you have to lift it up and pull it off. When you lift it up, you can pull the top part of the panel back exposing the door seal. The panel will just kind of hang there. To completely remove the door panel you have to remove the cable from the interior door opening lever.

There is a small plastic piece behind the door handle pull that needs to be removed to access the screw there. I am tearing mine up!! How do you get it out? Also does the forward armrest piece just pull off? If so how? Do you pull it forward or toward the seat?

Okay. Can you gents get a little more specific about the felt?

what kind, how long, what type of glue etc.

Perhaps, a small write up.

Thank you for your input any ideas are welcomed
