The door panels for this upgrade have acoustic chambers -in fact the car received an award for this design innovation.
How much of a significant impact do they have in the total system?
I was thinking about replacing the door panels/speakers.

 

Yes I too have upgraded my stock unit to a shaker 500 model. The sound IS soo much better in the car now.
I got lucky too as I did not have to have it reprogramed. Everything works like it should. Lights, CD's, and the text menu. I just never disconnected my battery when I did mine.
