I will start by first apoligizing for the poor diagram that is attached, I'm no artist.

You must have the right fender emblem to start, see above post and Diagram. Large cross post in the center.

You don't have to remove headrest but it is a good idea to.

unhook headrest cover(HRC) between posts.

put white corrector fluid or other liquid on the emblem posts, center the emblem on the front of the HRC. The fluid will leave marks on the HRC.

With a sharp awl puncture the HRC where the small upper post is marked. Using a small exacto knife cut a small cross where the large cross post is marked.

On both emblems drill a small hole (Large enough) for the cord thru the top leg of the cross post about midway down post right at the center. Using a dremel or other tool cut a narrow slot from the edge of the top leg to the edge of the hole closest to the emblem. This slot is used to access the hole with the cord.

Get a large button or other suitable item(I used a plastic disc) and drill 2 holes about 1/4" apart at the center. use strong cord that does not stretch and loop it in one hole and out the other. Tie both loose ends together with a knot so you create a 2 1/2 long loop when pulled tight. You use the lenght of the loop to determine how much you want the emblen recessed into the HRC. My picture shows what 2 1/2 is like.

Using a tool with a hook on the end (crochet needle)puncture the front of the HRC thru the cross that u preveously cut, thru the foam and out the back of the foam but not out the back of the HRC. Slip the button & cord up the back of the HRC between the HRC and the foam.

Hook the cord onto the tool and pull the cord back out the front of the HRC. Make sure button is flat against the foam. You may need someone to compress the foam to get the cord hooked onto the emblem.

Hook the cord onto the emblem by sliding the loop thru the slot until it rests in the round part of the hole you drilled. Allign the posts on the emblem with the hole and cross you cut in th HRC and push emblem into place. Make sure the emblem is recessed the amount you like, adjust loop as required.

Make sure emblem is centered and straight, then remove film from back of emblem so that the 3m tape will hold it securely.

Thats it! I know it sound complicated but it is really easy. I could easily do the whole job in 30 min.

Good luck, it really is easy! I am thinking of putting the emblem on the rear seat headrests as well.

Great "invention" so to speak. Open up shop and you'd make a kill'in Not many, including myself, will have the b@lls to puncture their headrest

Thanks......there are so many great mod ideas floating around out there it is hard to find something unique if not unconventional.

Yeah, was a little worried about putting a hole in the headrest but figured what the heck... no pain no gain.

I agree with most that it looks really good, but at first glance my heart fell into my stomach since you punctured your headrests. I simply don't have the trust me once it is destroyed it will look better gene.

You will only need the covers if you want to revert back to stock.
