i need some help, i gave up on my kenwood unit. i got it in the dash but it did not sit flush enough for me. i'm lloking for some pictures of some double din dvd units that sit really flush and look factory. please help thanks.

 

I wanted one that looked really flush but once I got my Kenwood in I like to use the tilt feature to move the screen to eleminate glare. I got it as flush as possible and there is no way to eleminate the small gap because the screen has to open to load DVD's.

here is a side shot....I am not sure but I think there is a curve to the dash...but mine sticks out about 1/8-1/4 of an inch....to me it is not noticeable at all....a few people thought it was stock radio

 

what shows up when a cd is playing, any screensavers? the kenwood was just so blah when it came to screen set up and it left me wanting more. anything you dont like about the unit? how lond does the cd changer take to go from one disk to another since it's a 6 disk in dash. any faster than the shaker 500? how did you hook up the brake wire to play dvd's and drive, ground or switch?

The unit has 12-16 screen saver options from mild to wild some with moving graphics some not and the disc switching seems pretty quick to me My installer just put a toggle switch in my console to simulate the parking brake and it works fine here are a few saver pics....I have no complaints with the system other than the display for xm does not utilize the full screen and you must hit the display button to see all the info rather than showing it all at once all the time...this I can live with, because I am very pleased with the unit overall

0 problems with my Kenwood 7017 and it sits **** near fluch, the stock dash has a curve in it, nothing will sit flush. It sticks out a bit to allow th unit to slide the screen down so discs can be inserted. Try the unit again, it should fit no problem
