Where did they go ? Are there any other places, aside from www.granddesignmat.com , that does custom headrest embroidery?

Ford probably stopped them.... wouldn't be the first time big brother refused to share with the aftermarket.

I think so also....... but that may hurt if your head ever snaps back and the headrest works the way it suppose to then again, maybe not

I was worried about that too, but because the emblem is slightly recessed you hardly feel them, and the padding is soft enough to absorb the impact if you try hitting it hard.

If there are any law experts maybe they can chime in. But i believe if you have something trademarked and you don't defend it, then you can lose your trademarks. So when things like this are brought to Ford's attention, they are obligated to send cease and desist letters.

They are attached the same way as a button on the back of a tufted sofa. A waxed nylon cord is attached to a 2" button. A hooked tool is pushed thru the headrest, the button is placed under the back of the headrest cover and you hook the waxed cord. pull the cord back thru the headrest out the front and onto the emblem. By changing the length of the cord you can recess the emblem as deep or as shallow as you like. the trick is to get the cord to hook onto the back of the emblem securely. You dont even need to remove the headrest from the car, and it only takes about an hour to do. Half that time was getting the courage to puncture the headrest for the first time.

Probably not the route I'll take, but how does he "cord" attach to the tri-pony ? I understand the button part...

the emblem I used had a small post above the centerline and a largercross post right in the center. Drilled a small hole thru the middle of the cross and used a dremel to cut a slot from the outside edge to the hole. Then just slipped the cord thru the slot to the hole.

It cost me all of $50 bucks. And thats CDN $$$

I know its not for everyone, but Ilike the fact that it is different than most.

Very nice but like was said earlier I probably won't go that route. Did grand design mat get the premission to do the ford logos yet?

Its hard to explain, but super easy to do. Having the correct emblem is the key. My emblem came from California Mustang.

What part of the installation would you like me to expand on? or all of it?
