GT 500 Dead Pedal
In my opinion the gt500 pedals are cheesy, slip ons etc, why not spend some money and get some custom made to your likings, ponies, GT, Inserts or without, polished or not, flanged or not, heel toe etc. To worry about this cheesy pedal is like cheesy, oh did I say like, LOL.
Ultimate pedals, the name says it all
autovation, etc. many companies already have the best looking pedals and dead pedals. Just because it came on a gt500 dont make them awesome, LOL. Oh yah theres dont glue on the accellerator etc. glue a pedal on are you kidding me.

BTW, what makes the GT500 pedals awesome are that they are slip on, look great IMO (similar to the bullitt/mach 1 pedals), and provide a good amount of grip. They're a lot better than the plastic POS that Saleen sells.
Hey Leo, back off. So I'd like to get the dead pedal. So, I'm a little impatient. I don't understand how you think I'm condemning the entire aftermarket industry by writing that it seemed to me we got bolt ons quicker ten years ago. Maybe we did, maybe we didn't. I never did a scientific analysis or kept records of product development dates. I could be wrong, but I don't think I deserved being jumped on for what I wrote.
With that said, should CDC make that dead pedal faster? In my opinion, yes.

Yeah...but instead of glue and "slip-on" pads you have to DRILL.

Also, and although it would be much different because I'm doing it, but I've seen some improperly aligned pedals that looked FUGLY (ie-on Roush cars). No offense to those with roush vehicles, but Roush could have done a better job
Moral of story: if you mess up and have it slightly crooked, it looks ugly and can't be fixed/re-aligned.
However, I'm still not holding my breath. I can't imagine that it's that hard to use the dead pedal bracket design from Saleen or Steeda (perhaps modified slightly, of course, so that it isn't "copying"), and then make a flat pedal with 3 horizontal pads.
BTW, with track racing, aren't you on the clutch a lot, therefore having a "stronger" dead pedal doesn't even seem to make sense...you probably wouldn't be using the dead pedal anyway
Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but it shouldn't take this long to design and manufacture a dead pedal. Is this still going to happen or should I just start looking for other options? TIA
Italked with CDC last week......the person with whom I spoke indicated he was waiting for "final approval"...so the project is moving forward, albeit slowly. I'm guessig a couple more months??
Still not holding my breath...see original post from LAST summer (page 1 of this thread).
