where have you guys ground out your amps when placing them in the trunk. i don't think my amp is grounded sufficiently, and thought someone might have a better suggestion.

Grounded mine on the package try by inserting a nut/bolt through an existing hole after sanding the metal for a good contact.

"...after sanding the metal for a good contact."

This. Just screwin' it onto metal somewhere is not nearly enough.

I haven't messed with the mustang radio at all but where do they ground the factory amps and how are they terminated? Maybe you could ground i the same general location. Regardless make sure you get ride of the paint between the lug and whatever your grounding to for a better connection as mentioned.

Bolted mine under the "Latch" bar, underneath the back seats. Uses a T60 like a seat belt does. Just bolt it under there "after sanding the metal for a good contact". I've done three 'Stang sound systems with various amps and all are nice and clean sounding.

Firestang,
Everything said above, but why do you not think your amp is grounded properly?
