Pretty cool but if you have to turn your key why not turn it one more time to start the engine?

It's all there. Thank 05GT-O.C.D. since he's the one that showed me how to do it. I just followed his example with some slight alterations/improvements.

i agree if u gotta insert the key AND turn it then the button is poointless. however it does look good and you did a great job installing it. can you still start the car by turning the key as well? also is there any way to set it up so that you dont need the key in the ignition? lastly can u shut the car off by depressing the button again or do you have to turn the key?

Edit: Everyone who has seen mine in action was really impressed. I've had a couple people ask for me to put one in theirs (one guy drove a Jeep Wrangler... I refused, told him that would be shameful in a Jeep). Also, everyone thinks it's factory, just like more cars are coming with, like Honda's S2000, Lexus's GS440, Aston Martin's... the list goes on.

that's one sweet mod Dustin, and quite nicely done.
absolutely flawless!
one thing i appreciate about mustang lovers is that they know what they want, they know how to get it, and they go for it!
though stuff like this only makes my wait towards November 2005 seem longer and longer

It's easy for an engineer like myself with basic electrical knowledge to do something like this. You can thank 05GT-O.C.D. for locating the green ignition wire, I never would have figured that out in a million years.
I think my next endeavor will be a trunk release button, I already know how to do it. I just need to select a button and figure out a good location for it. Actually that sounds like a great idea, now I have something to do tomorrow! You guys want a writeup on that one too?
