Almost any aftermarket 6x8 will be an improvement over stock.

This is what the OEM Shaker 500 Speakers look like:

I replaced mine with Pioneer speakers, part number TS-D6802R and I am very happy with them:

There is a TSB about fixing unwanted vibrations on low frequency notes that involves removing the window control plate and putting some insulating tape behind it. The dealer did mine under warranty and it fixed the buzzing I was getting.

Hi Mralternation_,

Welcome to the forum! My name is Deysha with Ford Service. I recommend bringing it in to your dealer and speaking to your Service Manager about this concern. He/She is in the best position to look into this for you. He/she can check into any assistance that could help with the repairs needed.

Deysha

I just ordered a set of Pioneers for my doors, $47.98 shipped from Amazon.
They also offer the harnesses for another $8 so you can plug in your factory wiring into the harness/adapter which then plugs into the aftermarket speaker.

These are the Pioneers I went with:

Unless the vibrations are inside the door, they are likely one or both of the the little covers behind the door handle or the grab handle, with a possible that there's something in the map pocket, or the panel itself is not tight against the door frame.

IF it's the little panels, the easiest thing I found was to get the stickyback velcro squares or rounds. Use the felt only, not the bristly side. One on the panel, and perhaps one on the door if needed.

If you use both sides, then they'll lock, and have fun gettin' those panels back off..

Make sure to use an alcohol wipe on the panels before putting the velcro on, it'll stick better.

Hope that helps!

You dont even have to do 6X8"s. They make adapter plates for 5 1/4" and 6.5" round speakers as well.

Why is everyone recommending speakers to reduce vibrations? I'm honestly confused here.

Did Ledhed steal Mralternation's thread?

What also helps a ton is a little sound deadening. A little Dynamat can go a long way on the inside of your doors and the panels.

My apologies if I jacked the thread, I thot it was more of a piggyback and better than starting a new one...

As for vibrations, you don't have any rattles in the door? Turn that base up, they'll come round

No they won't, sir. I've already done the steps I outlined. My doors do not rattle.
