Not bad, now the perfect compliment to this would be a waterproof(read milk proof) liner. So when that gallon of milk spills in the trunk it doesn't get all over the place. I know they make these inserts for Jeeps, and it keeps liquid from spilling inside the trunk. Anyone heard of these for the Mustang? They are custom fit

Anyone know if this thing is spill proof? It's the one Ford offers.

Try JC Whitney.

Here's the one from last year. Looks like it would probably fit. Especially since the trunk is bigger this year. This one looks more like a plastic tub so I'd think it would be spill proof. ANd it has a pony it.

Here is kind of what I had in mind when I said a spill proof liner. I have seen these for SUVs, but I didn't know if there was a Mustang Version

I haven't seen any, but I'll keep my eyes open. Probably another one of those things we'll have to wait for.

That is great stuff. I use it at work to keep plastic docket holders from sliding off my desk. Makes sense that it would grip other stuff, like trunk items. Good idea!

Glad everyone likes the idea. It would be nice if I could find a piece big enough to cover the whole trunk and cut it to the shape of the floor.

Chris, thanks for the tip. I never would have thought of that. I need something to keep my inbox from sliding around.

guys, i saw a lot of these mats for lining kitchen drawers at diff. stores. they seem to be on the narrower and shorter side. while browsing through wal-mart the other day, i saw a wider & much longer roll for lining tool chest drawers. it was $10. i think perhaps one roll might do a trunk. haven't calculated it yet.

sorry, didn't write the matting measurements down. i think it was like 18"x 20ft. or so. i'll check next time i drop by wal-mart and compare the price of it w/ the kitchen drawer liner version. same stuff, just diff. dimensions and prices.

what was good is that i didn't see any black color in the kitchen drawer version at wal-mart, but the tool drawer mat located in the tool drawer section, came only in black. for me, that's the ticket.

oops. turns out the stuff in the tool chest area of wal-mart is 16"x112" for $10. and the kitchen drawer liner stuff is 12"x72" for less than $5. didn't see black in the kitchen drawer area again. it looked fully stocked this time. i suppose black is not an "in" color for kitchens.

Thanks, Harry. That sounds about the size of mine. Maybe even a little longer. I'm thinking about picking up another one so I can do the whole trunk.

Any ideas on how to tie the two pieces together? And better yet, how to attach it to the floor of the trunk. I don't want to do anything permanent, but it would be nice to not have to reposition it every time I take somethinng out of the trunk.

B) Most wholesale rug outlets carry this in wider rolls, sometimes in several colors, as well as being a lot less expensive in bulk.

Great! Maybe I can get a piece big enough to do the whole trunk w/o having to splice two pieces together.
Thanks! (now I just have to remember to stop by and ask)

I bought this same thing for my wife's BMW 330i. It works great, hpefully you guys can find a big enough peice to cover the whole trunk floor. BMW charges $50 for this same stuff with a BMW logo slapped on.

The stuff does work good but a bit of a warning for you. After a while, especially in the heat, that stuff will leave residue behind. If you always leave it unrolled in the trunk, you will find that one day when you roll it up you have an imprint from it imbeded in your trunk liner. I used this in my 97 GT and after one summer that is what happened to me.

I need to find out if that will fit in the 05 with a shaker 1000 system.
