Got it installed at the local circuit city for $70. Works great and no permanent holes in the vehicle.

How can you drive with the starmate there? I have a standard so that would really be impossible, but can you put your arm there?

Talking starmate install

Yeah I see what you mean. It's probably not a good place for someone driving a stick but since it's not it works out for me.

Looks good to me!

I have the Starmate in my Tacoma with the antenna laying ontop of my dash pad, passenger side. Reception comes in 'okay'. I loose the signal every once in a while.

update

I'm assuming it was sodered to an accessory delay because it stays on when i turn of the vehicle and turns off when i open the door. So far so good. I just wish the Starmate had a **** or a button that would just let you go from station to station.

starmate

The starmate I bought came with a car kit. So they used the adapter that was included.

I put the antenna out buy the radio antenna, ran the wiring in through the crack of the door up the passenger side and into the glove box where the starmate is mounted. The only drawback is that I have to open the glove box to change channels, haha. Good thing there is a remote.
