Has anyone ordered their 07 with the remote start engine and received their car yet. We just received one at our dealership with the option ordered and it is mentioned on the windowsticker however we are unable to find how it works . There is the standard 4 button remote with no start button. No mention in the order guide either. can anyone help.

 

You usually hold in one of the buttons for a second, release and then hold again until the lights flash. So my guess would be try one of the buttons twice. Probably the unlock button or something. Good luck

This is from an aftermarket one, but I am sure ford put the same kind in probably, purchased from aftermarket and labeled ford, just like ford racing,LOL.

 

no the remote whould have 5 buttons, it shows you in the accessory guide for 07+

 

I have the remote start, it has only four buttons. you push the lock button, then the blue "key" button. hold them for about a second each.
The one with the keys is the new fob, the other one is the origional factory.

 

I am not sure if yours is the same system . Was yours factory installed option or a ford accessory dealer installed.

 

I should add is yours a recent 07 job 2 build asthis is now a factory option.

 

Dealer install. I saw a photo of one that had 6 buttons on it, but not sure where.

 

Factory ordering guide says ... " remote start is a factory invoiced item on the window sticker, it's included with vehicle and installed by dealer

 

Thanks for the info but we did not receive anything from Ford with vehicle to install.

 

You know the ordering guide for Canada is different the the US one...maybe thats the reason...

 

It appears as if the info is correct there is a new listing dated jan 15 /07 to the Canadian ordered guide stating that it is a dealer installed item. I think that it has to be shipped to the selling dealer for installation. Thanks for the help.

 

Can anyone tell me how much the remote start is from ford?

 

Canadian order guide price is 280.00 so i would expect US price to be just less than that.

 

Pulled my paper work, $471 installed.

 

Parts department should receive the kit (marked with the vehicle's serial number). At least that is the way the other factory invoiced options my store has installed.
