What color wire do you guys use from the factory stereo to get a good turn on lead remote wire? I want to add my amp and sub but I'm using
the factory radio. I already got the line converter for the RCA's.

I looked it up on directech and they don't list a remote turn on being available for our cars from the factory harness. I believe the stock amps only use a 5-8V turn-on which could not be used for an aftermarket amp.

I am planning on doing the same as you and probably will use a switched ACC power wire to turn the amps on because I usually have the radio on if I am in the car.

I forgot to mention I have the Shaker 500. Maybe it won't really make a diffrence though. I dont want to add a aftermarket stereo because i like the 6 CD and MP3 feature on it.
