Dumping my UPR Round A/C knobs
I know this is an old thread, but so all of you know UPR Products have a LIFETIME warranty on ALL UPR Products. Dont like them? Send them back. Dont fit well? Send them back. Just want to exchange? No problem. Lifetime warranty and 100% customer satisfaction means just that.

Yeah right.
Have been told point blank at your tent at Fun Ford Weekend that the warranty does not cover finish or 'normal wear'.
UPRs stuff looks like crap once its a few months old as they refuse to finish the parts.
I actually bought a bunch of your engine compartment stuff last year and took it to our local plating shop. Turned out real nice and STAYS looking nice in the real world. Too bad UPR won't offer quality that lasts.

Once again: LIFETIME WARRANTY ON ALL OF UPR PRODUCTS!
Who are you to tell me our company policies? I have personally given out new pieces and I will continue to do it. Before I was ever an employee and before I even knew that UPR was 20 minutes away from my house I was using their products and I still have them to this date. Finish is fine. The only time they ever lose their "luster" is when I dont care for them. You buy polished or chrome rims, you need to take extra care of them. Pretty simple common sense.

Personally, I've had good luck with your products. I always paid extra to get the polished finish. I never had them tarnish or anything. I know the satin finish tends to pit and discolor. I've seen it personally on my friends stangs.
I am sorry you took it as me trying to pi$$ him off, that was not the intent at all. If he has a product of ours that he wants replaced, it is still and always will be under a lifetime warranty. And the customer IS always right. This one in particular has mis-information about our return and warranty policy. Now he has it here in writing. If he still wants to take his issue up with me, he can PM me, or post his issue and I will be more than happy to take care of it.

Is it me or is he reviving old threads just to get some advertising mention of UPR out there?
Having been in retail for 15 years "the customer is always right, even if they are totally and completly full of &%it". Pulled this from UPR's site-

The UPR Guarantee
UPR promises to sell the best parts possible at the best prices possible. If you-our valued customer- are anything less than 100% satisfied, we pledge to resolve your problem to your satisfaction.
Not anywhere on the site does it say they have a lifetime warranty policy on all parts other than some (**lifetime warranty) words in the description of a few pieces.
In Marc's defense, I was a little '****y' in my tone. But the conversation between me and UPR HAPPENED. Fun Ford Weekend, Houston, May 2004 and a lesser conversation on the same subject without the parts in hand at the 2005 event. You can claim the warranty is whatever you want in writing on this site, the truth is the warranty was already refused. I no longer have the parts, long since replaced with MGW stuff. UPRs machine work and design is top notch. But polished aluminum does not hold up in the engine compartment nor where touched daily. They need to offer a finish on the product so they will STAY looking nice. The parts I bought from UPR this year (many are not offered by others) I had finished by a local shop and are now on my GT500.
If you think your products are 'good enough' as they are and are not interested in your customers wishes for an improved product, fine. Be the next Montgomery Ward or Xerox. Its your company. I really was trying to help. I don't want any money or free product, that was years ago. Water under the bridge. But the poor products and poor after sale service and no warranty coverge EARNED ME THE RIGHT to ***** about it. It was and is wrong and still needs to be fixed in your product line. I hear it from many at the car shows and many ask how I got the chrome engine caps etc from UPR. I tell them the truth, you have to do it yourself as UPR will not. Others are unhappy with the lack of finish causing a poor looking product. No one has time to polish engine caps and parts on a weekely basis. Unfinished alumimum oxidizes and tarnishes. Polish is not a finish, its a surface. The older parts on your own show vehicles at the sales tent look terrible too. At least there is truth in advertising I suppose.
Marc, you did drag this up yourself.

Sorry for the confusion.
I wasn't all that familiar with the UPR products until now. I'm not sure bringing these old threads is doing you more bad then good.
I can say that any thoughts i may have had of purchasing from UPR have now left. If there are this many unhappy forum customers then theres obviously something wrong with the product(a $30 piece shouldn't have maintanence). Spend money on A/C ***** to then spend more moeny to keep it look nice...
. Doesn't sound like rurmours but simple a simple warning to any prospective buyers.
Anyways, I'd work on talking to poeple/customers on the forums. And best of luck to you.

+1
i totally agree
To answer your assumption, no I was not trying for any advertising in any way. I have been assigned to go into the forums and look up UPR Products in the search engine. Then I read from there and look for any positive and negative feedback/posts regarding our produts. As many of you know, UPR had a rough start and alot of rumors flew around and continue to do so. It is my job to set the record straight. Thats all. I will talk to my internet girl and have the warranty listed on the websight.
Sorry for the confusion.

I don't know UPR products and had no opinion of the company until you dropped THAT bomb. My opinion has now changed from "let's see what this company has to offer" to "stay away from those guys, they lack customer service."
Just my $0.02: my suggestion is that you should check out CR from TillmanSpeed's postings. He doesn't argue, challenge, harass, act superior, etc... He's straight up and seems eager to help, then he backs it up with solid customer service.
Best of luck to you.
Man, when you threw out that "who are you to tell me our company policies" comment that told me volumes about how you feel about customers, and sure made me think twice about wanting to do business with UPR.

I would never act as if I were superior over anybody. I am willing to help with whatever I can. As I said before, everything that UPR makes (billett accessories, suspension, ect) is lifetime warrantied. Period.
I am regretting even trying to step in.
