Dumping my UPR Round A/C knobs
After a few weeks with the UPR A/C ***** I have decided that they stink. Sorry, but true. They don't stop at the "stops", and they still have NO illumination at night. Thanks Donna for your post and pushing me over the edge to go with MGW. I also got one of their GT power outlet plugs.
BTW, I did buy the UPR door lock pins and they are nice.
Hope this helps stangers on the fence.

I did the same.

I have the mgw gripper **** with five speed chrome insert, and the gt power plug. they are both beautiful and always get comments from passengers. I am definitely getting the a/c *****, and maybe door lock pins, does anyone have those?

I threw anyway my round UPR *****. Going to get the Gripper **** and A/C *****, still waiting for the cupholder bezel to save on shipping.

Free UPR *****, you pay the shipping.
Oh well, your money, your *****. I sent mine back for a full refund.
Yea I had the round ***** on for about 2 days before I sold them on ebay. This was before MGW had much out so I replaced them with the UPR slimline ***** which I like the look alot better and get some illumination
i like the look of the upr ***** but had no illumination either.
simple solution. i boiled the three ***** in a pot then when they got hot enough took a pen and pushed the red plastic illumination through untill they popped out.now there in a hole where the green light shines through.

Dood! GREAT idea!!!!
I might steal that - I got the MGWs for myself and passed on my UPRs to my brother and sister-in-laws GT - if they really have a problem with the lights, I'll do that - thanks!
yeah i dont know if you have to boil them to get the red plastic out but i the idea just came to me and it worked lol.they look pretty tight with the green (natural) light
You do not need to boil them first. The are held in place with the smallest amount of silicon
I just set them on a soft cloth and used a woden pencil that was sharpen a little bit.
Then i placed the ***** one at a time in my drill press and opened up the hole to the maximum size of the plastic lens(mine are blue). Re-install the lens with a TINY amount of silicon. While I had them off, i polished the dish face and the light now reflects and shines brightly at night. The face now has a slight blue tinge to them. They look 100% better now.
NOTE: Some have stated that the ***** spin all the way around....
There are two fixes for this... one: the factory ***** have a thin ring attached to them that has a built in stop.... make sure that you install them on the new *****. Two... press them in just a little more snug.. and the **** will catch the factory stop.
