Door speaker - BLOWN

I've got the shaker 500... sounds like I blew the driver side speaker. Dunno how, I really don't BOOM my tunes. But, trying to decided if I should have it replaced free or upgrade... Anyone have any pictures or diagrams of the door panel removed???

Did you blow the sub or the 6x8? I am going to replace everything eventually. Starting soon with the speakers. I would let them replace it, if they will. Usually blown speakers aren't covered under any warranty.
Then I would replace them with aftermarket.

I have not taken the panel off but am almost positive it's not the sub. It should be covered by warrentee... no?

IMO you will have a hard time getting them to cover that under warranty. Blown speakers are usually labeled as "a sign of abuse" and not coverable under warranty. You might get lucky and they won't give you a hard time and replace it. You can only try, what can they say but NO. Just My Opinion. Let me know what happens.

Just called Norton Ford up here in Tulsa.... No problem. They will replace it and it's covered under warranty. Cool.

All he had to do is say, "Hey, I'm 40! I'm too old to play it loud!" And they probably said, "Oh, in that case we'll fix it."

Just givin' ya crap, Paulie!

I'm over 50 and if it's a good tune, I still like it loud.

Problem is most of my friends are getting old and don't like loud music anymore, so its starting to work on me a bit. Darn old farts!

But not its a good tune, I'm not given in to them.

Bruce, I'm with you. If I'm in the car by myself or with my wife and there's a good tune on, I crank it up!

I don't care how old you are, a good song just makes you feel good, and yea it HAS to be LOUD.

Yep, I listen to Jim, Jimmy, and Janice the way it was meant to be. Loud.

I have been with Ford as a Service Manager/Advisor/Shop Foreman for 22 years and have never declined a speaker replacement-even to the backwards baseball cap wearing, jeans below the butt set! (You know who you are)

BTW, I am 45 and always listen loud! There is no other way!

The more I listen to these speakers, the more I want to upgrade. At first I thought they were good but after hearing a friends upgraded system, there is no comparison.
