I just got an e-mail back from CDC. They said they are working on it and should have it out soon. They have a prototype. This was from Patrick Lee. He said he hadn't forgotten and would let us know here on the Forums.
well this pedal says it matches the pedals so why wouldnt you get it. It says matches the manual and automatic ford racing bullit pedals. Those are what come with the upgrade package. I guess when someone buys it you call can compare, but for the price I dont see why you dont try it out.

Also, I don't think they come with the bracket. And, even if they did, I don't think it would mount in the S197.
FWIW, what I did was purchase the Saleen pedals. I had the intent to put all of them on (yes, sodaman, I was going to drill
So, I used the Saleen dead pedal bracket and pad, and ebayed the rest. Obviously, the saleen pedal doesn't match the GT500 pedals at all, but it doesn't look bad because it gives a nice contrast and technically is "different" than the regular pedals anyway. Plus, the dark plastic color kind of blends in with the carpet.
The only one that has "verified" anything about it is someone on this forum. I don't mean that as a flame...I'm sure that they're trustworthy and all. I'm just saying that until CDC themselves mention something about it, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.
I'm the guy who has been checking with CDC. I don't know whether you consider me trustworthy. My dog likes me. And I just paid my income taxes. I've only posted what I have heard back from CDC.
In fact, I just e-mailed Patrick, their tech guy, a few days ago. He says they are "still working on it". So, all I can verify is that "they are still working on it". If anybody else wants to contact them and tell them there is interest here...be my guest.

Thanks for the update from CDC.
However, I'm still not holding my breath. I can't imagine that it's that hard to use the dead pedal bracket design from Saleen or Steeda (perhaps modified slightly, of course, so that it isn't "copying"), and then make a flat pedal with 3 horizontal pads.
BTW, with track racing, aren't you on the clutch a lot, therefore having a "stronger" dead pedal doesn't even seem to make sense...you probably wouldn't be using the dead pedal anyway
(one more thing: this refers to CDC, not Joe, with regard to me not buying what's said)
