I would like to cover the dead pedal carpet with a rubber and/or aluminum piece. Anyone making that?

 

Steeda makes a dead pedal cover for the mustang.

 

Since there is no pedal, what is a cover? Is it just a pad that is placed on the the carpet in the area where there should be a pedal? As most here, I can see the carpet wearing away if there is no pad/pedal there.

 

Ya...I noticed there was no "pedal" for the dead pedal early on. Why did Ford not put anything there? I certainly don't want a bare piece of carpet down the road...

 

That is funny. I had not seen the dead pedal in a car before I saw it on the mustang at the Cleveland Auto SHow back in february. Looks like they dropped a lot of things from the car show cars to final production. It's really a shame that they dropped options like the engine cover, dead pedal, chrome around the shifter area. I would have gladly paid the extra few bucks for those items. They should have left that up to the consumers.

 

Has anyone tried this Steeda dead pedal yet? $35.
