Will you sell the Dead Pedal seperatly or will it only be available with a complete set?

Wow I wonder how much money CDC has or will lose on the dead pedal because of this thred. I guess that's what happens when you keep people waiting for a year and then release a real crappy looking product. I love CDC just not this time. I guess even the best of companies make mistakes.

Thought I might provide an update....after having the pedal installed for a few days I find that when I'm off the clutch my foot is pretty much on the dead pedal....by the way, the pedal is angled so that your foot tends to go slightly to the left. Also, not obvious in the pics is that the top part is angled back off the carpet. So, one's foot is usually not on the carpet, which is why I purchased it, as well as the match to the existing pedals.

Based on what I have seen of the pre s197 pedal sets (the ones with the round insert) I pretty much expected what I got. Personally, I don't like a dead pedal that is twice+ the size of the other pedals so while not overwhelmed by CDC's effort, it serves the purpose and matches the set without being out of proportion. Hope this helps.

I have that same dead pedal. I'm having problems with mine staying clean. It's all stained up and I've tried several cleaners with no luck.

Our dead pedals cover the entire area and can be ordered with a flange that wraps around the side of the raised footrest ledge .

I like the one with the Pony, now if you could make them match the original pedals.

no offense to Ultimate, but I am a very symmetrical person and the last post of the pedals are nice but the black dots that are missing to accomodate the screws would drive me insane after a while..JMO

I think that's what UltimatePedals is attempting in this post.

I noticed that the strips seemed a little thin to match the GT500 pedals so I gave them the measurements here.

Hopefully UltimatePedals can help us out. Looks like the finish from the second picture in this post with the pony would match real well. And since they're not using the rubber dots, the screws will have separate holes in the corners (I assume) so all symmetry is preserved.

I saw the CDC deadpedal today at SEMA, and took a pic of it. I should've taken a couple more, but I you can see in this one how it's designed. The rubber inserts feel like they'll just pop out, if you want them to. I could see using this as a base to mount my Autovation pedal, but I don't really want to spend $85 for a mounting bracket, you know?

They also had two newer versions of the Glassback roof there. They changed how it looks at the back end, it has a smoother transition than before, I thought I took a picture of that, but apparently I didn't. They are also offering racing stripes built in to it, currently silver only, but hope to try to get other colors soon. This is in the laminate layer between the two pieces of glass. Again, for some reason, I don't have a picture of it.

Does Ultimate Pedals plan on making a dead pedal, similar to the drawing on post 67, that matches the existing GT500 pedals???

CDC pedal. Don't ask where I got the pic.

My .02
Not very impressive for something that cost more than the rest of the set. Let's hope that was a prototype pic.
It needs to have the two indentions like ths gas pedel has on the top and bottom. That would make it look alot better but I still don't know if it would be worth that price.

We are planning on a providing an alternate footrest option.

We received the new tooling today.

Unfortunately we will not have time to work on it till early next week.

We will post photos as soon as we have a prototype.

Ultimate Pedals make good quality products. I had them on my car for a while, but decided to go with the Shelby GT 500 style set. Just put the CDC dead pedal in. It's nice and solid and looks good. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Here's a shot of the pedals. I think the CDC pedal looks fine. In fact, it is exactly the same size as the Bullitt dead pedal I had in my '96. The pedal is solid and well made.

I agree with Joe, it does look fine. To match is one thing, but the price is ouch. I did notice the pedal is now on the CDC website for purchase.

I have the CDC and it looks fine. Matches the others in finish and the ribs fine. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't have the bump outs on the top and bottom like the gas pedal. If it had those I would be extremely happy.

If it were a little cheaper I'd buy one just to screw my Autovation deadpedal to, so it's more firmly attached to the car than it now is. I've got long screws through the carpet and into the foam block, not exactly secure.
