I checked the site again today but could not find it anywhere. How much is the dead pedal?

I am not impressed with it at all but it matches what I already have.

Thanks,
Bob

Am I the only one that's really let down by this? I really hope the pic Leo posted just makes it look bad (speaking of that pic... what happened to the top of the clutch pedal there?). R&D my eye! Looks like a bent piece of aluminum with the three rubber strips taken from the gas pedal. How long could've that taken to design? Again, just basing it of Leo's pic.

As for cost, I'm guessing from what Leo said that it's a hair over $100. (said something about it being more than the entire pedal set).

Blitz, can you grab a few pics that do it more justice?

I will measure the pedal when I get home, and try to get a couple of half decent pics on my palm cell phone.

Need some help...once I transfer the pics to my computer how do I get them here...never done it!

I believe the cost is closer to $83.00. I don't believe the pedal is listed on their web site...call.

I'm gonna pass..I can't believe that design It reminds me of how excited I was when the B&M auto shifter was about to go into design and then I saw the final product Talk about a let down.

It looks really small. If it was bigger and 1/3 the cost I might buy it.

Yes, I agree.. to quote Zoolander, "it needs to be... at LEAST 3 times this size!"

So does this pedal bolt to somewhere secure and solve the issue of bolting into soft foam that the other pedals have? If so, how is it attached?

The sad thing is that Ford did not supply a simple dead pedal with the car from the factory. I mean, would it have killed them? Who wants worn, grungy carpet that won't survive a few winters?

yeh well its better than the sn95s which didnt have anything

they merely had the 3 pedals, the ford dead pedal that they had a package for screwed into the wall, thus creating a dead pedal....pretty cheezy

The pedal measures 5 1/4 x 2 1/2, slightly larger than the gas pedal....it does bolt very solidly as explained in my earlier post. My view is it's better than nothing. Frankly, I did not ecpect a large dead pedal, but I did expect a much lower price. I cringed when I heard the price, but bought it because there is not an alternative that matches. If you compare the price to other similar sized interior pieces, like the numerous cup holders on the market, it is not that much out of line.

I will try to post the pics I took.

Looking at the pics above the right edge is just that, an edge. The left side is more rounded and folds down creating a bracket that goes down and around under the kick panel, attaching to a 13mm bolt that is behind the lick panel. In reality the kick panel fits back into the grove created by the U shaped bracket. The end of the bracket is open so it slides snuggly over the 13mm bolt. Wish I had taken a pic beforehand, but didn't so here are some pics of the instruction sheet.

I don't like that it has to be bolted all the way to the left. looks out of sync if you ask me. JMO

Another option is Ultimate Pedals
. I have been very happy with mine.

People like the fact that it saves your carpet. I don't really keep my foot there,so it's no big deal to me..It also looks good(not this one though)

We may have an option that would be a close match to the CDC pedal look including a dead pedal.

More to come.

I'm really disappointed by CDC. They're better than that. All of their other producta are . I don't know who dropped the ball on the dead pedal. Especially after a year in the making.
