I noticed today that when i hit the button for the rear defog the lite blinks but would not stay on. My window was not "technically" fogged up but it has been raining and it was a bit hazy. Anyone else have problem with the defogger not staying on? I dont know if the car knows that the windows not fogged and thats why it wont stay on? Maybe I jacked some wires when installing HU.

I haven't tinted the windows yet either.

I think it turns off when it gets too hot. It's a defroster not a defogger.

Ya...I believe it turns off via timer or reaching a certain temperature.

The owner's manual says it turns off after 10 minutes. It doesn't say anything about temperature being a factor. Page 31.
