Dash and doors leather trim on 2007 models

i've seen a fully loaded brand new 2007 Mustang GT during the pre-delivery inspection today at my local dealership and noticed the dashboard top had a black stitched leather trim!
even the door arm support area was leather trimmed as well as the e-brake handle and center console.

This looks a million times better than the plastic crap i have in my 06!
i know it's a rather straight forward swap for all the parts except for the dash top..

i'd love to get black leather with red stitching.. and i'd complete the look with Shelby seat covers and steering wheel

it'll be rather expensive, but i seriously love the look!

any comments?

Last I heard the leather dash from Ford will run you about $1200. I thought of doing it untill I heard the price.

Isn't that just the premium trim option? i believe they are just parts sharing with the GT500, correct me if i'm wrong.

i'm annoyed i missed out on a few of those options...i'd trade in my shaker 1000 for premium trim pack and heated seats.

Unfortunately Ford will not add this upgrade if you have a californian special so I had a go at the door panels myself.

Remove the door panel and the arm rest is held on with plastic pins which are melted into place. To remove them you need to carefully drill the melted part away. You can refit the armrest my using screws into the remains of the plastic pins. The leather I had top stiched by a trim shop and then covered the plastic armrest.
