have you noticed less rattling from the shifter with the leather boot compared to the vinyl one?

Hi,

I received my leather boots last week! And installed the Arm Rest cover, man it looks sweet. I ordered Black with Beige thread. It looked MUCH better when I unscrewed the arm rest.

I took the centre console out last night to install the E-brake boot. But it seems there's NO way the metal bracket will fit properly unless I cut more slits in the boot. The vertical slits are perfect but the other side doesn't have any slits.

XG14, did you cut slits on the other side of the boot (where Redline had the 3 long slits)?

I got mine put in a few weeks ago, I'll post some pictures soon. The annoying vibration noise from the shift boot against the console is gone!!! Whoo hoo!

Well I sewed up the 3 slits and cut 7 new ones one for each plastic hole. And screwed it on with 3/8" screws / and washers. Looks really nice.

But some minor issues:

1) There isn't enough leather to fully pull up the parking brake (I think the brake is on enough... So this probably isn't a huge concern)
2) When the parking brake is in the down position it seems to be quite tight.

Other than those 2, it looks very nice.

Here are a few pictures of the three peice set installed in my car. I got the black leather with gray stitching to match my light grapite interior. I sent Dan (adrenal) my console cover to have the pony applied on it like he had done on his seats. The pony is gray suede and it turned out super nice. Thanks Dan for getting that done for me
The pictures aren't that good, I'll try and take some better ones today or tomorrow. For some reason the pony looks white in the pictures, but it actually matches the interior perfectly.

It is like a heat applique thing, I think so anyway. Dan (adrenal) may be able to tell you more about it. Thanks for the complements!

Man you all got me really hoocked on this mod, I had no idea this thread was 8 pages. Ok Maciek I have a torch red with parchment interior, did you get anyone to take you up on a med parchment set? I'd be glad to get a set. A question for you all , Im thinking I'd like to have my shifter and ebrake boots tan or whatever color he can match with my med parch leather interior. How do you all think that would look, tan leather boots on the black console ? I think it would make a nice contrast with black thread stitching, instead of just making them black like the console, then they just sort blend in and arnt very noticable. I think the armrest cover would stay black though unless you all think it would look ok tan also ? I'm not real sure about that.

Hey runfox,

I was planning to order a dual boot, Beige / Black. But Maciek sent me Sierra, Cream and Tan samples none of these matched. I took a picture of the samples on the parchment seat, and Maciek said Beige wouldn't even match. Plus the place where he buys the leather was out of the dye that produces the Beige colour.

I ended up ordering Black leather / with Beige thread, I think it looks really nice, and does add a bit of contrast.

Here's an install of my finished boots:

Hey,

I was on vacation from the 29th of May until yesterday, actually. I do know the AT shifter covers and boots (all orders) were shipped on the 30th of May - so you should be getting them very soon!

Please let me know when they get to you!

Maciek,

I posted some time ago that there are not enough slits cut in the Ebrake boot. Seems from some comments above that this has still not been addressed. You make a great product and I for one look forward to other items you may come up with (like the auto shifter cover).

Hi Maciek,

First off, very nice quality product. I am very impressed

I have a concern. How doe the Auto boot fit on ? There seems to be this weird flap that looks like it goes over the handle. If you refer to post 135 adn 136 above, that is what I was hoping to get (look more like a regualr boot) .

Please advise so I can understand what the flap is for.

Thanks

It does go over the handle. We introduced it because we think it looks awesome when it's integrated with the boot!

Can you send some pics? I'm sure we're all interested how it turns out!
