Recieved my Boots, love them! Only thing is that I am having problems with e-brake install

 

I got everything installed except for the shift boot, here are some pictures of everything as well as the size problem I spoke of.

 

The size is probably ok, you want to mount the boot on the shifter bezel, and then turn it inside out (with the inside out part facing up). After that push the Shift **** into the boot as far as it'll go (With the shift pattern facing the ground, so when you look through the hole you'll see the threads). Now gently press the leather into the grove in the ****.

I used a piece of 1/4" binding material and tied a knot, once turned right-side out, I don't even see where it's tied. You'll probably have about 1/2" - 3/4" of material hanging down inside the boot.

 

ok i know this might be A LOT to ask but i do like the preferated leather, love the stripe idea and would not mind all three peices but i do have an Auto and i really like tha i have the IUP with silver auto shifter ring...so my question is would it be possible to cust a slot or tuck the boot under the ring so you could see the characters and silver ring
