Hopefully the picture is attached. I have since found out that Ford did indeed put a leather wrapped handle on (at least) '03-04 Cobras. Ford list for the complete handle assembly is $95.95.
Well, it doesn't look like the leather wrapped handle needs a different design of the ebrake boot compared to the non-wrapped one. And we do have the ebrake boot for the 99-04's.

I ordered the e-brake handle and arm rest cover. I have the red interior in my 2005 Mustang GT. I believe the interior is (ebrake/console cover) black not charcoal, right?
The console cover I believe has two sections, upper one is black, lower is charcoal... As per XG14's post on the previous page...

Thank you,
Maciek

I'm sorry that picture was not the best, but it was all I could find. You are right, the boot would be the same. I am checking price and availabilty from Kevin for the O.E. Ford Cobra e-brake handle. My car is a daily driver (400 mi/wk), so it would be tough to send you mine for possible prototyping !!

Well then a black console cover should work but will the black ebrake leather look OK?

I put my order in. 3 piece Charcoal leather with black stitching. I've got my fingers crossed that it's going to look OK.

I'm also working on a mod to get my UPR shift **** to work. I got it to thread on one turn, and played around with it a little. It looks fantastic, and feels great. I'm going to have to rethread it, and find a way to secure the boot around the bottom.

Cool glad you got the links I sent. I just searched though my Favorites, for pictures on this board (who's ever car that was... thanks.. hehe). I just looked at the colour choices on your site, Beige might match. But it appears a little grey, but of course pictures on monitors are very hard to colour match. Parchment is caught ona cloudy day appears almost TAN coloured. It's a weird colour.

XG14: Do you feel the black leather matches the centre console? IE is the centre console black in the mustang or charcoal? It's been 2 months since I sat in the Mustang. So I can't remember. The centre console is the same colour in all cars though.

I think that the console top is black. The bottom of the consoles edges along with the sides of the radio panel look more charcoal so it looks like you could go either way.

Last night I had a guy tell me, thinking that Maciek's parts were stock.
"Feel that , Ford is really using good stuff"...."that leather option is worth it"
That's cool, they really do look mint. The way Ford should've done it. And I'm sure everyone would've paid for it. Look at IUP!

About the e-brake boot, did you use screws ? If so where did they screw into? I plan to keep my car for quite a while.. And if need be put it back to stock if show it in the future ?.. Is that metal e-brake bracket glued to the centre console ? I saw your step by step instructions, but I couldn't quite make them out...

Thanks,
[/b][/quote]

Ben
A 1/2" screw works nicely and screws into the plastic "nibs" Just snug the screw down. I used wood screws with small washers that what I had at hand.
As far as removing it later. I think that it would be easy. just remove the screws and re-attach the runner as it was when stock. possibly using a little glue.
If click and enlarge the attachments you should get a good view.
Its really pretty easy.

Joe,

I have not torn mine apart yet so I have a couple of questions. Are the holes in the metal bracket or do they have to be drilled? The screws will then be screwed into the plastic of the console? I assume that the console is pretty thick in that area and they won't go through the other side? Where exactly does the leather go - between the bracket and the console? Thanks for the help!

Hi Drew,

No drilling required. As far as the thickness of the console. No it's not that thick.
Initially when you remove the runner your going to spend a little time with a pliers and those plastic "nibs" that are molded in the console. They have to be squeezed and compressed with the pliers to separate the runner bracket from the console.
You are not breaking these "nibs" off
A bit of prying with a screwdriver will help to separate the pieces.
The "nibs" the round ones in the 7 positions illustrated should be finessed.
1/2" screws are short and you are only screwing them into those round "nibs"
It's not necessary to tighted them any more than is necessary to bring the runner bracket back into position. It's not going to move there's really no pressure on it .

Yes the leather goes between the bracket and console.
Line up "all" of the holes and slots in the bracket, leather and console and you will see that the 7 positions for the screws will be very close. Then start the screws and don't overtighten them. When you actually do it you'll see its pretty easy.
Just takes some time to compress all those "nibs" (round and slotted)

PM me if you need help.

Hello,

Another beauty. This is a VIOLETY-BLUE and WHITE TWO TONE Mustang e-brake boot. It's a really nice color combination, as you can see! If you have a white or blue car with any interior accents in white or blue, this is would make a very nice upgrade:

Here's a current 10% discount code again: O353YN2Y9U0. This code is VALID UNTIL APRIL 30th.

Thank you and drive safely!

Just wanted to bump this thread and ask for some kind AUTO owners assistance!!!

I sent e message to Maciek yesterday regarding an idea I had for a new product his cimpany might do for the auto mustangs - specifcially a 'cover/grip' for the auto shifter. Here is part of my message I sent him:

<I had an idea for something else for the autos and wanted to see what you thought - I usually drive with my wrist resting on the auto shifter and while driving yesterday, suddenly thought it would be a good idea to have some kind of 'grip' for it - in a practical sense it would be great and matched to the interior, I think it would look pretty good too. So I was looking at the shifter head and thinking of a 'fingerless glove' approach- basically open on the ends for the shifter button on the left, and the recessed 5th gear/OD button on the right - do you guys use velcro at all? Because that would be prime - it could have 'flaps' that circle around to the front (or rear) of the shifter and then you can secure with the velcro. >

I quickly scribbled on some digital pics in MS Paint to give him an idea what I was thinking - Maciek thinks thais would be cool - BUT -

The main thing of course, is that he needs an actual shifter handle to get the dimensions perfect - maybe someone who just upgraded their shifter to IUP and still has the old one?.....

Anyone out there who could lend a hand(le)??.......

I just installed the red ebrake boot, shifter boot and Console cover to go along with my RED interior. I am pretty happy with how it turned out and I sent the pics to Maciek for website and posting on this forum which I am sure he will do shortly. It is not hard to do, But I did find the use of some small screws essential to get the ebrake boot to hold to the ebrake runner.

I most certainly will! Here they are. As you see, the color looks different depending on lighting conditions, but overall I'd say it's a very close match!

I can do better than that! I just ran out and snapped some pics of the armrest cover sitting on a seat.

I'd like to say the quality is great. The grain matches everything else perfectly. The black stitching is very subtle. I'm glad it is, otherwise it would look odd compared to the rest of the car. I wanted black stitching just to give it a slightly different look. Mission accomplished.

So here are the pics. The flash really creates what seems to be a false color difference. Without the flash, they are VERY close. From more than a foot away, I can't see a difference. Much closer than black would have been though. EDIT: Hmmm, after looking at the pics again, the difference is more noticable to me. I just doesn't seem that different in person. Oh well, I will have a better idea after installation. I will get some other opinions later, after I've installed the pieces. (I'll post a new topic as well, to cover something else I've done.) The pics are resized, but are still 800x600. I wanted to show the detail. They are grouped no flash on left, flash on the right.
