Convertible rear seat removal
I have found that I enjoy riding in parades, but I do not want people standing on the rear seats and leaning against the headrests. I have several friends that can help make a raised seat that I can install for parades and remove after the parade, but I have to remove the rear seats first. The bottom half is easy, two clips on the front of the seat, it's the top half I do not know how to remove. Any help would be appreciated.
I got the seat free of the body, but it still is attached to the pouch that holds the top when it is down. Does the seat detach from this pouch or the pouch from the rest of the car and if so, how?
Hey Chuck! When you get this figured out, lemme know. I have the same reservations that you do (feet on the seats, etc.) But I must admit--not sure how thrilled I am about taking the seats out very often.
Just don't cut that liner fabric behind the rear seats

I believe I have come up with a solution that will only require me taking the seat out one more time to install some home made brackets, but I will not know if my plan will work until I have a chance to talk to an engineering friend of mine who will get stuck building it (He owes me big time). He will probably look at my basic drawing and come back with a fully designed and built product. I will let you know how it goes.

So if you lift up this pouch it will unclip from the seat, it's like a "J" trim on the seat and a reversed "J" on the cover. You will see that plstic joint.just where the fabric starts
