Carroll Shelby Autograph decal?
i've seen a few pictures with a Carroll Shelby autograph dash decal..
i've searched all over the place but couldn't find where i could get one from.
i wanted to have CS sign something on my dash, but the best panel would be the passenger airbag, and that won't be easy to ship across the world and back :S

i never actually wanted the fake autograph, but when i failed to get the real deal (not easy to ship an airbag across the world and back), i figured a decal could fill in for now
anyway, as StangNut suggested, i'm probably gonna send the center panel to CSCF and have it signed.

I can tell you that sending items to his foundation WORKS AWESOME!!! I sent a diecast GT350 to the foundation, and got his signature back within a few weeks. I too am going to send something out to him from my car. The center section is the only part of the dash that you can get off easily, as the 2 parts where the passenger airbag is, is all connected together, with the airbag (one assembly) and really can't come off. I also thought of having him sign the passenger visor mirror cover. That may be a cool idea as well.
Just remember, the fee is $200 for any part of a car, and $100 for any piece of memoribliia. The donation is a tax deduction, so its all for a terrific cause. I'm going to ship my part out after the car show season ends, early November.

A lot of people do the sun visor. Easy to remive and you won't really miss it while it's out.
You might want to consider having a custom plaque made that fits in between the vents. Personally, I'd make it a rectangle instead of having the cutouts for the vents. You could have your car's VIN and build date on there as well as your name. Maybe even include something about it being shipped to Dubai.
EDIT: Maybe something like this:

I like the idea of the Shelby model for the autograph.
I am thinking about sending the plenum cover that I have on the car to get his signature. Even if I ever sell the car, the cover would be a cool piece of "art" to have.

Having him sign the plenum cover is a good idea. That way, its something people can see, and you won't have to worry about anyone stealing it at shows, unless they bring a socket wrench with them. If you do this, just make sure to get the cover clearcoated, so the signature doesn't wear off.
