Buncha crap?
So recently I have decided I want to get a pioneer or panasonic, just a double din dvd headunit and started looking around at different audio stores and they are telling me because of the shaker 1000 system I would have to completely redo the car, speakers, subs, wiring, etc all just for a new headunit...I don't have that kinda money..so are they jerkin me or is this really the case? I have never heard of anyone having to do that on these forums..

I have the Shaker 1000 also and I installed an AVIC-D3 with no problems, it works great. Here is some info that I wrote up for the D3 specifically but some of the info would probably be useful for other units as well.

bs. i had a pioneer d-3 in my car for a little while. the head unit didn't work out. as far as sound goes however, it was very good. this was accomplished by using a voltage regulator. if your shop is telling you otherwise, they are either lying or unskilled.

Just out of curiosity how come it didn't work out? I got my D-3 back in March and I love it!
