Anybody replace the back speakers? With the subs in the back it sounds like it is missing something. I think it needs speakers with tweeters in them. I'm going with Boston Acoustics 5X7 NX87s.

When you go to a concert, do you want the band to play from behind you? Then why would you want your music produced from behind you? Ditch the rears altogether and see if you like the sound. It costs nothing, and then you can add whatever you feel will fill that gap best.

What? Come on, you need to have speakers in the back. You may not need a giant sub, but the stereo sounds a million times better if you have both front and rear speakers blazing.

You really only need rear speakers for rear fill. You should put the most money into upgrading the front speakers, probably leave the rears alone.

I had the new speakers put in the back this weekend. It really makes a differance, with the S1000 there is just to much bass. The new speakers add a little high, (small tweeters in them), really evens the system out.
