Automatic Climate Controls?

Automatic Climate Controls?
I saw these in my wanderings around the internet. Has anyone thought about upgrading to the automatic climate control? Does the Mustang have the software and or hardware to support this?
I assume the dual zone unit would not work. But what about the single zone unit? These should fit the panel, they have the buttons in the right place.

From what I've looked at we have to find out three things.
First, is the rear connector the same. From my findings, maybe. It looks like the f150 share the same air condition module as the mustang and the rear is the same from the pictures I saw.
Second, where is the tempature control computer stored, in the air condition module (perfect), or the cars computer.

Third, where does it measure the tempature at. Will we need to install sensors. If so where can we find these sensors.
Also, we would need to fabricate the openeing to accept the new module. I have no clue how easily that would be done

You shouldn't have to fabricate an opening, from the looks of the unit it resembles the stock opening in our dashboards.
However, who knows about the fitment in the back or interface with the bus.
How much are these things going for on eBay?

I have been looking at this for some time. The bezel needs to be trimmed, but it could fit. As for whether it will plug right in, it uses the same plug, but I have been meaning to check with the service guys here to see if the pins match up from the car to the module.
I've seen that this module is available in most new Fords. Maybe it will be available to the Mustang soon?
Cheers

As to fitting in the bezel, it should fit without trimming. It seems to me that the upper and lower circle of where the ***** sit would have to filled in. If so, thats a simple fix with a dremel and some scrap plastic. Paint to match and glue in place.

Doing some more research, I think the unit for the Five Hundred is a better choice for a refit. The button layout at the bottom on the base unit is identical to the Mustang and includes the defroster switch. So if logic holds true, the digital unit should be a direct fit, if the Mustang has the proper software. Knowing how much the car makers try to cut down on production costs the 2 cars may share a common HVAC controller.

The unit you are showing isn't the automatic digital readout unit. It is the same unit now in the Mustang. The automatic unit has a different arrangement of buttons depending on whether there are heated seats and if it is dual zone.

OK I did not express myself clearly.
The picture shows the "analog" unit. It is identical to the unit in the Mustang. So all things being equal, the digital unit for the Five Hundred (without dualzone) would be the most likely canidate for an upgrade. I have not found a picture but I think it is the same as the one for the F150 I posted.
I have confirmed the dual zone unit has completely different plugs on the back. So no go with dual zone.
If somebody could find a unit and give it a test......that would end all debate!

I went by the dealer and got the connector diagrams. Here's what I got:
There are 2 connectors for the module C228A and C228B.
C228A - the wires match up just fine with the Mustang's harness and is the right connector.
C228B - this one I have to check out still - I need to compare it to the Mustang's B connector.
Also, the electronic one needs an opening 1 1/2 inches high, while the Mustang's opening around the dials is 2 inches high. That's alot of filling to do .
And the temperature sensor is NOT in the module.

OK, I've gotten the face connector diagram for the C228B, and it is a different connector to the Mustang's C294B connector. In fact, the Mustang harness has 4 wires, but the EATC's is a 18 pin connector with most of the pins allocated to something.
So this won't work.
