Part Number 2007 GT500 Instrument Cluster

I know I'm late to the party but my instrument cluster has finally died on my 2005 GT. I want to replace it with a 2007 GT500 cluster but getting this done has not been a simple task. Every dealer I've tried to buy it from has put up one obstacle after another. One dealer says I can't order it because my VIN isn't from a GT500 and he can't place the order. I tried ordering one from Horizon Ford but they sent me one for a GT. I called another awhile back but they wouldn't refund the core charge because I wasn't returning the exact same cluster. I tried looking online but every website I come across either has a regular GT cluster listed or no part number or picture at all in the description; just "instrument cluster", a price and a very generic looking diagram picture that is no help at all. Please help me before I pull my hair out!

Here is a serial number of a 2007 Shelby. Use this for your ordering and you should be good to go. If you were to buy the one from Ford, and send in your other in the box, you should get the same credit from Ford. Hope this helps you out.

1ZVHT88S175216786 is for a 2007 Shelby. It is for sale on the east coast, so it would be perfect for ordering against, for your serial. Good luck.

Not necessarily the buy / sell section... but I have a 2007 GT500 cluster which I will probably sell.

If you don't work with Friedmaster on his, here is another one. Good luck with your project.

I was able to get my hands on one and get it installed. Works great. The only issue is the TPMS error light. Is there any way to clear the error with my SCT turner or do I have to go to a dealership to get it taken care of? Other then that, everything has gone well.

Does this cluster have the MyColor option, and did the factory GT harness work with the SVT inner gauges(with the exception of boost)?

What was required for the install? Just plug it in and it's good to go?...aside from the TPMS?

It was really simple if you already have a MyColor cluster installed. If you already have the "Info/Setup/Reset" buttons next to the power outlet on center console it's really just plug and play. There are no extra parts needed. Just have your mileage handy and your good to go. The only thing that will be an issue it the TPMS light and chime because the 05-09 does not have that option and the "high speed" chime. The "high speed" chime happens if you go over 75 mph and was used on European spec cars for some sort of regulation. It is hit or miss whether or not your cluster will come with this feature switched on or not. My luck had it switched on. It only comes on if you go over 75 mph so in theory you should never hear it. Other then that it just comes down to getting the cluster and not having it be a Herculean feat to order one.

I put mine in several years ago and being an 05 I too got the tpms and the speed limit chime. I had to take it to the dealer and they down loaded the cluster info from the old one, which means it has to be in place, then they put the new cluster in and uploaded the info to it. They charged me an hours labor for doing it.

You could program the mileage yourself?

That's what I was wondering, cuz I was under the impression that the dealership had to program your mileage/features as 05YellowGT suggested.

Mileage is stored in the cluster itself. It does not change without special equipment that only dealers or speedometer repair shops have. I'm going to bet that they have to send your cluster out for mileage change. I could be wrong, but my dealer here told me that what they would have to do. They said they could put in asbuilt data, but not mileage. That was federally regulated and had to be done by a special shop. That way it keeps down mile changes.

It made it so I had to look hard to find a speedometer with very comparable mileage. I got a GT one within 68 miles, so I called it good. I'd of used that much waiting for the cluster to come back. That was plug and play, except all GTs have TCS and that light will turn on in the cluster. That has to be turned off/on by the dealer's special scanner. Do that or you can raise the corner of the face plate and carefully put black electrical tape on the lense to keep the light from shining through. TMPS can be done the same way, as well as ABS light. Good luck.

That's exactly why I asked, doesn't sound right to me

I finally got around to replacing my dead cluster. I bought it online from CarID, and just had to give them my mileage and vin. I just got a replacement V6 cluster, and my TC/ABS no longer works. I suspect they never programmed the cluster at all, and their response (after a month of "research") was that they don't have a cluster to fit a 2005.

So just a heads up to anyone looking to buy...I'll never buy anything from carID again.
