Anyone have anything like this?
I'm wanting to mount a holster for my pistol on the side of the console next to my right leg so I can access it easy if the situation calls for it.
I don't like to carry it in the glove box because I'd have to lean over to get it, and carrying it in the center console is a hassle.
Anyone done this or got any ideas?

Seriously when would the situation call for it? If you ever get pulled over I'm sure it would be an interresting subject of discussion. Okay now to answer your question, you could always make a mount for a holster on the side of the console stack. It might require modifying the holster too. One nice thing about it is that it is easily replaced should you want to sell the car.

LMAO I had the same thought as others in this thread.
1) Read the original post.
2) Thought, WTF is this guy thinking?
3) Looked at OP's location, and it all made sense.
I love the reasoning... a thief tries to carjack you, more than likely with a gun, and somehow Quickdraw McGraw here is going to get the drop on him with his stealth-mounted console pistol... riiiiiiight.
Do all Texans have a hard-on for the opportunity to shoot and kill a human being, or just 98% of them?

The speed of a carjacking is why it's important to have it in easy reach. Will it always save you, absolutely not... but if you're in a bad situation and the hair is standing up on your neck, a grab of the pistol as someone's approaching could save your life. It's not about taking someone else's life, it's about protecting your own and your family.

Conservative - Liberal call it what you want its self defense. I'm glad I live in a state where I can legally protect my sh*t. I would never have a gun in plain view but if you have a conceled handgun license then to each there own. I had a friend who was shot in the foot when he was trying to drive away from a carjacker. If a guy wants your car bad enough he will take it I just want the opportunity to protect myself and my property.

^ Score one for the good guys. ^
Looks like the CCW guy unloaded on him too. If those little tents are shell casings, there's at least 6 there, the numbers lead me to believe it's 8 or more. Or maybe it's blood drops?
