dunno if you saw i edited the post and added SilverHorses instruction link- they show the splice under the door sill trim, might be easier than trying to get at the SmartJunctionBox plug andwires...

mine has the dummy buttons(no mycolor dash) thinking about getting a set of those switches for my 06, maybe strip/silkscreen new logos for trunk and a couple garage door openers or something... the little trunk logo button I would have to hide in the console or glovebox, just dont really like the looks of it...

Not the console, but in my 08 I added an OEM Ford button (part number D3AY-19C542-A) in the glove box. Pretty easy to do - just a ground wire and then tap into the (as I recall white wire with pink stripe) in the kick panel / scuff plate wire bundle:

Yeah, I am seriously considering a "spoiler delete" on mine too. There is a kit that gives you some nice little billet covers for the holes, but having them filled and painted is a whole lot nicer looking. But that would cost a whole lot more too!

The SH kit works well but any other normally open switch would work too and a non labelled one would be less obvious. One side of the switch splices to the wire in the wire bundle (colors noted above) and the other side of the switch goes to ground - anywhere. I like having a button (I put mine in the glove box as in the above pic) incase I don't have a remote handy. Also - it's hidden in the Glove Box and I don't have to leave a remote in the car.
