I'm not all the crazy about the sound system, and never use the subwoofer in the trunk--I have it turned off. If I remove the subwoofer, will it cause any problems with the radio (error codes, whatever...)?

Plus, it would be nice to have room in the trunk, should I ever need it, and lose just a few more pounds for the track...

Question here is why did you buy it? Or was it on the car when you found it for purchase. For a factory system, I like mine. It appears in the dash as if it belongs.
