Has anyone had an aftermarket head unit installed? I bought an Alpine 9820XM and was told at the stereo store there is not a kit for the 05 Mustang yet. They said the Ford F150 should work but was curious if anyone has run into this yet.

No problems with it yet.

 

Scoche has a 1 din radio frame for the 05. Info is somewhere on the audio section.

 

My plan is to install my pioneer head unit and put diamond plate wherever there is a space. I also plan to put a switch in the diamond plate for the remote power lead.

 

yep just got my clarion unit and sirius tuner/antennae put in, the kits from the 2004+ F150 work great.

 

I have an aftermarket Double DIN system (imported from Japan). I think my installer custom built the surround, and it looks great!
