Does the oil pressure gauge that comes with the IUP really measure oil pressure, or is it just an on/off 'idiot light' type of gauge?

it's more than an idiot light, but not by much?.... if it's like every other Mustang since '94, it's a guage that shows you when you're in the red on top or on bottom.... but it's not graduated to show you actual PSI. That's what I loved about my '88....the temperature guage actually showed the water temperature in degrees, and oil pressure in psi and the volts on the voltmeter... but the friggin' gas guage didn't work....
