I am looking for a 3speaker component set for our cars. Preferably, 1", 5.25", and 6 or 8". I want to stay with a high quality brand, like JL, Polk, Alpine, etc. Any reccomendations?

I want to be able to have 4 speakers, plus the door woofers, PLUS a sub in the trunk. This seems to be my only option....to get 3-speaker components up front, dual coaxes in the back, and a sub in the trunk.

thanks guys!!

check out Alphasonik's 3-way setup, the 6551. That is what I will be getting. There are some others out there, but they are very pricy.

The JL XR series are pretty good. Also if you can find some Boston Acoustics, they are awsome. Do a search on ebay. I think some people are still selling the Bostons.

Boston Acoustics or MB Quart if you like sharp highs, a/d/s if you like neutral and accurate. Either one will have awesome bass - the treble is what defines the systems however as different from one another.

Beware, most of these high end systems like power - the kind the factory stuff can't deliver.

I wasn't aware MB quart made a 3-way set up....although I did see they have a "add a woofer" speaker. Is that what that is?

Sorry I missed the 3-way request. Ok, add a 'highest' end manufacturer that does have 3-way setups... dynaudio.
