I could care less what other people think about the car. As long as like it, that's all that matters, if I don't like, then I will trade it in, it looks like the new M3 will be coming out in a few years at 400 hp, may very well be trading up for that.

 

I have to say... I love turbochad's car. I think it looks really good... i'm doing some black on mine too... not so much of it (just the hood and between the tail lights) but i think yellow cars with lots of black look really nice. i still LOVE your wheels, i must own a set.

WOW....after reading all the arguing to get this point in the thread, and even though I think Turbochad is a bit "cocky".....my original opinion of the car has not changed......Sorry dawg, but I aint feeling it. To me it screams RICE all over it. The '05 is a throwback from the '68 , and you have managed to turn it into some kind of bulging eyesore. I know it took a lot of time, and the craftsmanship is impecable, but geez man... why mess up a great car to make it look like all the hondas and chevys out there. To me it doesnt stand out in a crowd, you just blend in now with all of them.........Sorry dude, I know you will have something negative to say back, and I cant stop ya, but you did ask for peoples opinion...so here is mine.

ugly scheme on the car man. Sorry. I think a lot of folks, me included are happy that you like your ride, but are too polite to tell you that it is butt ugly. Just my 2 cents.

I bounced around to a few different forums last night where turbochad has been posting. I swear anytime he gets a compliment, he's thanking the person. I think he really neads to feel loved or he's not feeling right. Look back on different threads, it's thank you, thank you, thank you. Wow.

 

Are you serious? I can go out right now and find a dozen hondas, saturns and cavaliers at the local college that look "just like that"...the 2 tone 1/2 and 1/2 look...........man......I applaude the work and thought that went into this car, you get your props for that..........but if you can say your car still has that "retro" feel that made the '05 the overwhelming hit that it is, then you should check yourself bro......you took all the "retro" out of it.........you asked my friend........you are the only one who needs to feel cool driving it down the highway, and it sounds like you do, so take the opinions of others that you asked for.....and roll .......

 

Ok guys I am done with this thread. I wanted to find out what the general opinion of the car was and I did that. For every negative response there are at least 10-20 positive posts, emails, and pm's. Like I said, over 90%. I guess all we can do is get out there and see who brings home the trophies and magazine articles, good luck to all!!! Oh Ponygirl you obviously dont know alot about cars. Again you made more comments that show this. You dont hardly ever see cars done this way unless they are done by Roush, Coddington, Foose, or other top name car builders including Ford Motors with the Harley Edition trucks. I guess Ford builds ricers too? I am not trying to be rude, but you need to educate yourself before you make such ignorant comments. I travel the country with my job and I attend many shows, races, etc every year. I know what is out there. We just put the car in the huge indoor carshow that lasts all weekend here in town. As soon as we pulled it in people just gathered around the car and it stayed that way most of the day. Over the weekend thousands will see it and I am very confident it will be a success.

But now... I wouldn't have it any other way.

And I have 11,500 miles on my car... I have enjoyed every single one of them.

Edit: But to each their own... I like the car and am going to go with those wheels.
And as far as "Rice" goes.. I have seen plenty of "Rice" cars I like...
I would not buy them but, I also would not consider this a "Rice" car.
But again to each their own.

I know for a fact that you can go to any local college and find awesome autos vandelized by individuals who want to make theirs stand out from the crowd. For the mustang you have successfully done this.....yours does stand out from the rest.....again...congrats to you and your ego.....for the auto industry........sorry dude , but you have missed the boat on that one. It honestly looks like a ton of other "wanna-be" owners out there. Maybe in KY they dont have it as much, but check around ( youre the traveler),. they are out there.

There is an orange and black 1/2 an 1/2 color scheme Ford Probe at a used car lot in town here right now for sale...been there for over 5 months because it is ...yep,...."rice". Great looking, but not classic, and not original..........

You are funny. You never did respond to the Harley truck comment. Does Ford build rice now? That is one of the baddest truck on the road, especially the orange/black diesel. Yea I guess all the people wanted to come over and comment on the car for fun. Half of them thought it was something that was custom ordered and many made the Foose/Coddington coparison. I guess we did something right. Anyway, good luck with your. Look for ours in 5.0 Magazine soon! Maybe twice.

The truth is that half of you are jumping on the bandwagon now, just like some did on stangnet. You think my attitude is bad or I am cocky when in reality, you dont know me, so you want to bash the car, usually just to get to me! I wish you guys could read all the emails and pm's that I get when some of you post your rice comments, lol! Again just look on svtperformance or the corral. I am done this time I promise.

The car looks good to me. The ricers around here have all kinds of b.s. graphics/vinyl all over the sides of their p.o.s.'s.
-And he's got a point, the Boyd Coddington Roush about has the same paint scheme, Foose's paint jobs on Overhaulin, the Harley truck. Man give the guy a break, he doesn't seem that like "the smart a.s.s." on the forum for crying out loud.
